I have 40+ lutron switches/dimmers in my setup, and most of it has worked flawlessly so far. Over the holidays, I tried to change up a few things and repurpose some of the switches. But I am running into some issues:
Renaming the Lutron device in its respective ''Device' page, doesn't seem to change the name in the corresponding rules and/or integration that device was being used. Is that expected?
I cleaned up the rules that used the device with the old name, but those rules still show up in 'in Use by' section in 'Device Details' page. And those rules also still seem to be firing. So acting as Ghost rules.... how do I clean those up?
I want to completely remove some of the devices. I removed them from the Lutron App (in HE), but device still shows up in the device list. Does that mean that while addition of a new device is automatic when you add a new row in the Lutron App, but removal is manual when remove that row ?
I am having the same issue, specifically with removing devices from Hubitat via the Lutron Integration app. I deleted the line for a PICO, it is no longer used in any apps, yet it still shows in my list of button devices when creating any new apps. Any insight would be super helpful!

Alright, a bit more searching and I found the solution. In order to fully remove a device from the Lutron Integration you must delete the line of code from the Lutron Integration App and also go to your devices, find the device the Lutron Integration App created and delete that device as well. I did not realize the App created a device, but it does make sense logically now that I think about it. Hope this helps!
Thanks Jim, in my case - I didn’t want to totally delete the device ; just needed change to repurpose the device. So instead of controlling a chandelier in dining room, wanted to use to control a light in the bedroom.
First thing to do is to remove the "old" device from any apps that use it. When that is done, you can change the label of the device on its device page -- this gives it a new name. It would make sense to edit the Lutron Integration app to change this one name also. Underneath, it's the same Lutron device. There is no need or benefit to removing the device, assuming you deal with the apps.
