Lutron caseta devices integrated but dont work

So I went through the lutron integration guide and linked all 30 of my picos/dimmers. I see them under my device list and I also can add them as a button to my dashboard. But when I click the button it says the light should be on but nothing is happening

My telnet is also checked.

Dumb question, does the light work when you push the Pico button? Check the log in hubitat and the telnet actions. Compare those logs with the ones the button produces to find the difference and possible cause.

Do you see any errors in the logs? Did you also set the Lutron hub to a static ip in your router? Try rebooting the Lutron hub as well. Note, if you want to AC power cycle the Hubitat, perform a shutdown first in settings.

Is there a way to verify that the caseta hub and the hubitat are connected?
I have caseta hub linked to alexa and that shows up under the caseta app/connections. Should Hubitat also show up as a connection?

If i press the dimmer on and off it works fine manually and through caseta app.
Nothing shows up under device activity log.
If i press on and off within device settings as a command that shows up in the activity log.

No errors are being reported.
But no manual activity is being logged either. Only activity I do through hubitat.

Also did you set the IP of the Lutron hub in HE?

I use RA2 so it might be a bit different but my Lutron integration page look like this.

Can you confirm using any other computer with a telnet client that telnetd (the telnet server) is definitely enabled on your Caseta Pro hub?

If you telnet to the IP address of your Caseta Pro hub, you should see a prompt like the one below:

23%20AM

Yes, my integrator app settings look like yours and my ip address matches what the caseta app reads.

This will also confirm your hub's IP has not changed. Make sure you can Telnet in, If needed download putty

Once you have Telnet into your Lutron hub, check and see what happens when you push each button (Piso and HE). You should get

im not sure im following. this telnet information. from what i can tell is the telnet selected under caseta app, but thats all i know. I just linked all my devices to the new caseta hub yesterday and now i cant link it to HE

Im a little worried if caseta is difficult to link how difficult are my other devices are going to be to link

You will need to verify a few things. Mainly the Lutron hub IP and Telnet accessibility.

Download putty

Open Putty and type in your hubs Lutron IP address, click Telnet, click open. (FYI - If your Lutron hubs IP address is not properly assigned none of this will work)

You should be prompted for user name and password use - lutron/integration

I am not sure what other devices you have, but integrations can be a bit trickier than adding a Zigbee or Z-wave devices directly. However if done correctly they pay off well too.

ok putty now says GNET, now what?

Click your Pico (note the commands displayed in putty) and then click your button on HE, do the same commands appear? Does anything appear when clicking the HE button?

Also check the HE log for the Lutron hub, what does it show when you push those buttons? trying to find where the disconnect is.

When i press the dimmer on and off i get a response within putty
but nothing happens in putty when clicking hubitat button

So HE hub is not talking to Lutron hub (check the IP did not change). What do you see in the HE Lutron Telnet logs?

Telnet in HE the IP was different than what i had put in, I think. But i fixed it and now it works!

Just going back to basics. I do use the Caséta Smart Bridge Pro and it does look the same as RA2.

@sank can you post a screen shot of your Lutron Integration setup? It should look similar to this, with the IP of your bridge obviously, not mine.

Also, after checking it, make sure you click Done. You will find that after first setup or a hub database restore, your Lutron integration may not work unless you open the window and click Done. That for some reason has always been a requirement to get it working again. You don’t have to do it all the time, but I always have to do it after a database restore. So if my Lutron integration doesn’t work, it’s the first thing I try.

Thank you for your step by step! its early in my setup process so thanks for working with me.

i am wondering if its best to unlink caseta alexa skill? so everything runs through hubitat. Does that make sense?
