Hello all I am looking for suggestions on a Zigbee power plug that I can use with devices that have transformers I have been looking at a few but some of them say not to use devices with transformers I am looking for something that is compact because I'm going to have to use more than one as I am trying to replace A Z wave power strip that failed thanks for any ideas
would that be a zooz powerstrip? or a greenwave.
If you can find them on ebay, my greenwave powerstrips have been great. They're only regular z-wave not plus.
Or look for Iris Zigbee plugs, solid build and I can run my shopvac without issue on them. And they make excellent Zigbee repeaters The older iris SPG800 work well but are not compatible with C8 hubs. Only C7 and below hubs can run 1st gen Iris devices.
Check ebay, Mercari, Offerup,marketplace, etc.

zooz zen-15 would probably be ok but it's z-wave not zigbee.
When you say that your devices have transformers, what type of devices are they and how much power (watts) are they using. If by "transformer" you are talking about wallwarts that reduce line power to 5 volts or 12 volts, they are usually switching power supplies, not transformers. Some older power supplies might have a transformer. I use Zigbee smartplugs on many devices powered by these switching power supplies with no issue.

Yeah, you're not the only one. I have seen a few members posting about those zooz strips failing, me being one of them. That said all their other devices I own have been good. I guess with outsourcing manufacturing to another continent, where cost containment is above performance, safety, and everything else, it might not always produce reliable products. I've been using my Zen24 dimmer on a ceiling fan for 4 years with Zero issues(watch my big mouth, the switch will smoke up tomorrow). I'm not using it to control the fan, but the light & fan are on a single circuit, so the switch sees the load from the fan & light and has reliably been turning on/off power for years.
Available on Amazon, each of these Zigbee plugs work well. None of them is tiny, but you can fit two on one wall outlet:
