Looking for someone with a 3D printer to print some device enclosures

I am considering using some ESP blue tooth boards for room presence. I need to have some boxes made to put them in. Would anyone be I interested or willing to make about 6 of these for me? If so how much would it cost?, d you want to do it?

@bobbyD what do you think about a sub category for people looking for printing or those willing to do 3D printing for others that don't have printers?

Depending on where you live, you may want to check your local library. I'm in Ohio. I've printed a handful of small things at my library for free. :grinning:

Also search for maker places, many larger cities will have one (often at libraries or some municipal building).

Take your Thingiverse file & have folks quote you on the FIVERR website. I've been quite happy going this route for all of my 3D printing needs.

This is the excuse you need to get a 3d printer! The Bambu A1 Mini is $200 and you will go berserk printing useful things.

To be fair, an additional necessary expense is some way to dry and store filament--unless you live in a very dry climate.

For grins, I threw the STL files into the quote generator for JLC3DP. $14 gets 6 of these delivered, depending on what material and shipping speed you select.

I had this company make a couple of items for me, including a hub wall mount.

Which ESP sensor are you going to use? I'm considering going down that route too and will probably print my own cases.

These. I will try and get the link to the video I was watching about how to do it. I stumbled on it on Facebook. Hopefully I still have the tab open on my iPad when i get home.

Yep. That does sound like the solution I would need. Ive never done the thingverse thing before. Is it something where i just download the file then up them to that site?

I've been looking at them for a while. So far, I haven't been able to quite convince myself that I would use it enough to make the investment work. Is this one of those things the you don't really know the true value of it until you have one?

Yup - pretty simple. Get the .stl file(s) from Thingaverse and upload it to the print-for-pay site. Soon after your wallet is a bit lighter and you have cool new 3D prints.

All I can say is that since I got mine a couple of months ago, I have gotten much more use out of it than I expected. And I don't mean nonsense like printing little boats,.. I mean useful around-the-house stuff. Some of it I design myself, some of it I look for and am delighted to find that someone else already designed and shared it.

In terms of smiles per dollar it is one of the best things I have ever purchased. It's also going to pay for itself and then some.
