This is typically a sign of an incomplete pairing. That sensor should work with the built-in Generic Zigbee Contact Sensor driver.
The Hue Secure Contact Sensor is a brand new device in the Hue ecosystem for which @mike.maxwell may probably need to add support in Hubitat.

I think this device will need a new dedicated HE system driver, it doesn't use the standard IAS clister for open/close events, but weirdly used the OnOff cluster and a Philips Hue-specific cluster 0xFC06
I have tried all built-in Generic Zigbee Contact Sensor Driver without any luck.
just ordered a set...
Thank you in advance
Good morning Mike,
Any update on the philips hue contact sensor?
Any update on this? Also looking for any help with support of the Philips Hue Contact Sensor
We are still working on this issue.
I have a couple of these sensors ready to add to Hubitat so happy to help providing diagnostics or testing etc. Thanks
Please update your hub to the latest version and give it a try. Let us know how it goes:
Oh great! just updated and works perfectly. so excited to get these up on all my doors and windows now.
(strangely the sensor started working as soon as i clicked "update firmware") also the button on the sensor doesnt report but thats really not needed.
Thanks so much for adding this.
The button on the front is just for inclusion and resetting the sensor, it doesn't produce any button events that I'm aware of.
Ah my bad. I thought I had seen a hue video where the button was used to override an active alarm but couldn’t find the video. Perhaps I was thinking of the nest sensors from a few years ago
Thanks for adding this. It’s working perfectly.
