Looking for color changing landscape lights ( DIY or Others )

Hi all,

Has anyone integrated landscape lighting that changes color into HE?
I am having a hard time with paying $340 for a starter kit from Hue and then $100 for each light after that.

I use these:

They have pig tails so that you can wire them however you need to and they pair with HE directly (using the Generic Zigbee RGBW Light driver). The 10w ones get plenty bright and they are weatherproof for $39/each. I've got them under the soffit on my front porch and around my trees in the yard. For the price that Hue charges ($340?!?!?), you can get 10 of these.

Thanks for posting. Wanna try these. From an Amazon review it says they have a power "pigtail". Care to share how you are powering these? Can you daisy chain? Thanks for sharing!

I've never ordered from Aliexpress. Are they reliable?

For mine, I bought a bunch extension cords (16g 3 wire cord), cut one end off, and soldered them to the pig tails and then plugged them into power strips I have mounted in outdoor boxes near my trees.

I haven't tried daisy chaining, but now you have me curious; I don't see why it wouldn't be possible as 110v is pretty consistent along runs with very little voltage drop off.

I've only ordered from Aliexpress a few times. On my large Pixel (1000+ pieces) orders do they take what feels like forever. But most other items they are usually pretty quick (2-3 weeks) for something coming from overseas.

You can also try eBay as well. AliExpress is similar to eBay. Read the customer feedbacks. I buy only from seller with good rating. AliExpress takes a while for shipping as well depending on your location.

Edit : forgot gearbest.com I order many things there and they are pretty good.

@corerootedxb can you set the colors via the Hubitat generic driver as well?
