Long Term Storage truncating data

I've just setup webCoRE and I've configured LTS to store a week (or more) of data, but the number of events never gets over 32. I can watch older events roll off in real time. Has anyone encountered this behavior? I am seeing some SSL errors in the relevant logs.

It doesn't look like they are setup for a week. The first and last event are on the same day. CLick the select device data then click NEXT without changing anything and that page will show you the length of data to capture.

Also your sensor names may be an issue, I know webcore has trouble with names that have a apostrophe(') in them, so not sure about a slash(/)

It doesn't seem to matter how long the duration is, but I'll try renaming the device for lolz.

In your screenshot it doesn't show the sensor name(The blue bar across the top of my screenshot). Is that because you cut it off in your screenshot? That is what happens when it has issues with the name you don't see the sensor name above, so you may not be editing what you think you are.

The device renaming suggestion helped with that at least, but I set every device's duration to at least a week and LTS isn't retaining (much) more than the 30 events kept by HE itself. At this point I strongly suspect the SSL errors are the most important clue, so now I have to figure out how to isolate hub so I can turn security off

Stupid question time, but are you selecting 'Use Long Term Storage' in your graph definition?
If you don't then you will only see the events that the device is holding.

Worthwhile question IMO... I do get some conflicting signals. The fuel stream (viewed from the webCoRE dashboard) does actually contain much more data.

I'm actually using Hubigraphs which has been imported into WC so I don't see the exact same screens you do.
I'm assuming you have the relevant files defined under file manager. They should be auto defined when you select a device under LTS.
It may be worth deleting your devices under LTS, make sure the LTS files under file manager for these devices are deleted, and starting again.
Like I say I do not use the graph feature under WC but still use the old Hubigraphs app.

You don't need to do that in the webcore version, if the data is available it automatically uses it.

I am now seeing more than a few hours of data in my graph now, so I think some change along the way might have stuck :relieved:
At some point I did do my best to wipe all webCoRE state, removing devices, re-installing the webCoRE app, deleting JSON files from File Manager, etc. :person_shrugging:

As long as you have it working.
As you are probably aware, recording of LTS data starts from when you define it so it will take time to populate, say, a weeks worth of data.

I was checking the graph after probably half a day each time and it still only showed a few hours worth of data. I do wish I knew what caused it start working, even it was my own error, to help anyone else. I appreciate you guys chiming in. I will do the same if anyone in the future wants to resurrect this topic
