Logs list not complete

I have been having trouble with a simple automation that has worked fine. I have 3 lights that are not turning on or off. I tried to look at the logs but they don't show up on the logs. I have the debug and script on. I have upgraded the version. It was happening before the upgrade. I have rebooted the hub several times. All the other automations have been working ok.

What logging do you have enabled exactly? In the app? Device?

Post a screenshot of the rule you are having issues with.

Simple Automation has an "Enable Logging" setting. The other day I turned logging on one of my Simple Automation rules and noticed that nothing was logged. I forgot to report it.

@bravenel FYI

Logs work for me. Simple Automation Rule doesn't log very much, just for an action and for an anti-action happening (e.g. turning off after having turned on) with few or no details.

Here are the logs of a SA Rule and the device that triggers it with acceleration active/inactive.

And the original rule:

If the rule is not triggering there will be nothing to log.

This morning the lights went off as it should but tonight the lights did not come on.
Is there a way to make a dashboard or something that I can execute to turn on/off all 4 lights.

Remove that restriction, it is not doing anything. Not sure if it would cause any issues or not but it does not need to be there.

Yes you can make a single virtual switch to control all of them. You can either use the Groups and Scenes app, or the newer Room Lighting app. Groups is a little easier to use but Room Lighting is more powerful. Then once you have he group activator virtual switch you can add it to a dashboard or any other system to control all the lights at once.

My apologizes I just realized I had turned on logging for a child Notifier of the Notifications app and it doesn't log anything. Sorry for getting my wires crossed but I don't want to derail this thread but will say that logging doesn't work for that app.

I removed restrictions and clicked done. I went back to check and restrictions are still there. I still don't understand I have logging turned on and when I click past logs all the devices show up on the top but if I click live log the ones in particular the 4 lights that I am having problems with are not there. Maybe I should delete the simple automation for those and start over?

You can also click the gear in top right corner of the rule and then at the very bottom it will show the scheduled tasks. It should have a scheduled turn on.

But, yes, for a very simple rule like this it might be easiest to just remove it and make it again without the restrictions to see if that helps. Since the restriction wont remove there could be something messed up in the data for the rule that is breaking it.
