Since names can be associated with codes, is it possible to pull them into rules or notifications?

Yes, I do this with my locks - get a notification every time the door is unlocked, with who unlocked it.

It depends on the lock driver. The Schlage BE468/BE469 driver has a State of lastCodeName that holds the name associated with last keypad code entered.
