Linking Z-Wave Devices

that's not the z-wave details page... In your web browser you want to go to yourhubip>>settings>>z-wave details

I have the opposite experience...

I associated a Zen34 remote switch with four Inovelli LZW-42 z-wave bulbs. Even with the hub offline, the bulbs turned on faster than they did through the hub. Most of the time it was nearly instant.

I don't know why others are having latency issues. Maybe it has to do with the device types that are being associated. All I did for the association was to install Zooz's Zen34 advanced driver and then typed in the four bulb addresses into the group 2 association field under the device detail page. While on/off worked like a charm, I was never able to get group 3 dimming to work.

Sorry - I thought you wanted device info from my HomeSeer system.

Try cutting power off to the hub after shutdown.

Haha, that's typically how I shut my hub off

Hi @velvetfoot,

Do you still have this issue?

It is important to look at the group(s) for your devices to associate. You probably have different groups for different actions. I know of separate groups for on/off vs dim up/down. Or responding to the switch on/of vs. the dimming position, etc. You have to look at the devices manual closely and make sure you associate the right group(s).

And as always with zwave , one step at the time or you will not know what is causing the weird issues you are seeing all of a sudden.

Hi. I haven't tried again.
Yesterday, as I said, since your driver didn't work for me, I associated with an advanced driver. Worked fine. Now, I'm wondering, how would rules and associations work in parallel. So, I tried that a little.

Next thing you know, lol, my driveway gate wasn't working, and my wife was having friends over. There's a ZEN17 relay that I'd have to take out of the control box to, for example, exclude and include. It was routing in a weird new way and not responding. Anyway, a shutdown and power cycle got it back to normal. Plus, I stopped my associating experiment.

All of which goes to emphasize your point, that any little change in z-wave can have big effects.

I still might try running associations and rules in parallel today again, though  .
