Okay guys need a bit of help. im just setting up my Hubitat hub and have linked one of my google home accounts up, but like Smartthings it looks like i cant link more then one google account to the Hubitat hub. now with Smartthing what i could do is create additional user accounts which is what i did and this enabled me to link Smartthing up to 3 separate google account.
So the question is, is it possible to create additional users within the Hubitat hub as all 3 of my google accounts are linked to 3 separate harmony remotes and all 3 google devices are home hubs so i dont want to loss the ability to control Hubitat devices using the home hubs dashboard and setting all my google devices to one google account is a big no no Help
This all needs to be done though Google. Create a "home" and add the devices you want to be able to control into it. Then "share" that home to the other users.
unfortunately its not that simple with my setup. i understand what your saying but that would result in some functions of my GH devices no longer working. as i have two GH hubs and one Lenevo and currently i can control the home control devices that are linked to smartthings on all three devices. now if i where to create shared homes what would happen in reference to smartthings is that i would end up creating doubles of all my devices that would be viewed on the home control screen and then GH would be responding turning on two lights where there is only one light.
now with Hubitat if i created shared homes as a work around i would then loss the home control screen page on the other shared users and that wouldnt work for me. but im looking at the Hub connect app and that looks like my get out of jail card as smartthings could be used and linked to more then one Google account i could still use smartthings as the voice interface to the google accounts but let hubitat control the home but send the communcations back via smartthings the the GH hubs
First of all, no one here is going to care what happens to your ST devices. This is hubitat. If you link a device through Hubitat and ST, it is going to show up twice. If you set it up once, it shows up once. If all the users share the same home in the Google Home app, it will only show up once.
take a chill pill dude lol and take the attitude somewhere else. PS my problem is sorted thank you
