This started happening, 2-3 weeks ago. Sometimes my bedroom lights (only) will turn on at 2 in the morning. More specifically, 2:22m, though once the logs showed turning on at 2:17am. I only see they were turned on by "digital", so I have no idea what rule etc. is doing this. And it's not every night. It happened two nights in a row, then nothing for a week and a half, then it happened again last night. I'm assuming I have some sort of "ghost rule" out there that is doing this. I played with a couple basic/simple/RM rules a few months ago around a motion rule to turn off the lights in the bedroom unless there's no motion, unless after a certain time of night, etc.
How can I 1) go and see what exactly is making the hub turn on the light switch, and 2) get rid of what I assume is a rule that doesn't exist?
Oh, the switch is a GE/Jasco dimmer, installed about 18 months ago.
Make sure "Hunches" is DISABLED in your Alexa app, assuming you have Alexa integrated with your hub.

Go to the Device Page for the dimmer and check the In Use By at the bottom of the page. If nothing there is triggering the rule at that time and you have an amazon device, turn off Alexa hunches.

If you look at the device page for your bedroom light, it should list all the app to which that device is linked. Check each of those apps to be sure something is not amiss.
Check your Alexa routines as well to see if something there is wrong.

Any news on this? I have the same issue with lights turning on in the middle of the night. Last night the lights cam on 1:44am. I looked and can see where the type is a command to turn the light off is me using Alexa. However, the Produced by Amazon Echo Skill (deviceHandler) is not me and I cannot see a request from the alexa app log.
Make sure "Hunches" is DISABLED in your Alexa app on your mobile phone.

Your description is sort of confusing, post a screenshot of the event from the events tab on the device in question.
But, if it says anything about Amazon/Alexa and no one was using it at 1:44am then it was likely the hunches feature as previously suggested.
I disabled the hunches...But why would it think I want the lights on? In fact, I saw in the alexa logs after the lights were on that the Hunches turned the lights off...because why lights on at 2am
Ask Alexa why she turned them on. Maybe she was lonely.
This is the reason I got rid of all my Alexa devices. Between hunches, constant interruptions, and trying to sell me stuff all the time was too much for me. Much happier with Siri.

Alexaโs Hunches feature has been the #1 cause for lights coming on/off at unexpected times of the day. Thus, it is always our โgo toโ first thing to disable, as it appears to use some not-so-ready-for-prime-time A.I.
Another thing that can turn lights on in the middle of the night, is a short power blip. Most smart bulbs default to turning on when power is restored.

Produced By is what caused the command, the "Triggered" is other apps that got notified about the event change, FYI.
That screenshot appears to be showing that before these events the light was already on (or at least the hub thought it was on). Then from Alexa the light was turned off, 1:44:57 AM. Then about 1 minute later Alexa triggered the light to be back on via setting the level, then 5 seconds after that it was turned off again via Alexa.
