I have a stairway with a 90 degree bend and 3 potlights overhead along the way. I have motion sensor at top and motion sensor at bottom.
Triggering on/off via room lighting easy enough. But just for interest can I (easily?) accomplish having the lights turn on in sequence?
I.e. trigger bottom motion sensor: bottom light fades in 3 seconds. After 3 seconds, middle light fades in. After 6 seconds top light fades in. Or some overlap or whatever. And vice versa for the top sensor.
Thinking out loud something I havent toyed around with:
Have the bottom motion sensor handle just the bottom light, and separately have a rule machine (or what?) trigger not on the sensor but on the bottom light, and then fade in. And then another for the 3rd light. Middle could trigger on bottom or top lights.
For the action, WHICH action would you recommend? I can't seem to get to an action that lets me set the level (100 brightness?) over time AND with a delay
What type of bulbs are you using? Fade dimmer over time could do this with both the level and with a delay. The problem is the speed of fading you want, which is why this might need to be set via the bulb driver.
