Just purchased a Homeseer HS-FS100-L light & temperature sensor to use on a dryer.
Any setup advice would be appreciated. I used the light sensor to announce finished, but it announced about 5min early. I have something set incorrectly.
By the way I purchased this at Walmart (shipping free over $35) for $20. On Amazon and at HS $39.
Could you post your rule? Is it possible that the dryer LED momentarily went off before the run was finished?
Yes that's very possible. The light may have turned off to switch time. I have the sensor taped on over the led light panel. I read the sensor picks up light through the back of the sensor.
I just changed the wait time to 40 seconds after reading your comment.
The sensor is now working correctly. Set light (blinking) to 4 seconds. I noticed that the sensor was announcing 1 minute early
It seems it was only seeing the right digit on the dryer readout. Dryer time started at 54 minutes. When the time left went down to 1 minute the sensor was reading the blank space (no light) before the number 1. Moved the sensor over to the right over the right side number and done. All is well.
