As I grow less enchanted with the Nanoleaf Matter bulbs, I've been replacing them with LIFX WiFi bulbs, which I've always liked their color saturation, but was trying to stay away from WiFi products. I've used both the native Homekit Integration, as well as Homebridge, but neither of them reflect the current color in Homekit. I can adjust the color from Homekit, but if the color has been set from Hubitat, it does not update in Homekit. Is this a product of being a child device, or perhaps a bug? Or should I integrate them natively into Homekit?

How are you integrating them into Hubitat? Are you using Matter or the LIFX integration? Most newer LIFX bulbs support Matter and you should probably use that for both Homekit and Hubitat.
I integrated through LIFX. As I mentioned, I have not had a good experience with the Nanoleaf Matter bulbs, so I decided I would change the communication protocol as well in case that was the issue, as opposed to just crappy bulbs.
What about Homekit? If it is one of the newer version of LIFX's bulbs, you can only use Matter to get the device into Homekit. Matter and LIFX Lan are slightly different commands which could explain some of the discrepancies you are seeing.
I had the choice to use Homekit/Matter to integrate, or go the old fashioned WiFi route, so I chose the latter based on my prior Matter experience. I have another batch of 6 LIFX bulbs being delivered, so perhaps I'll integrate them via Homekit/Matter, and see how they perform versus the WiFi integrated ones.
