Leviton ZW15R not recognized

The Leviton ZW15R receptacle (700 series with S2 support) is not identified under version 2.2.3.148. The Generic Z-Wave Smart Switch driver appears to works fine with the device.

I’ll give you a +1 on this. I’ve been watching these since they hit the cert database. The combination of 700 chip, top outlet control, and color changing checks a lot of boxes. Hopefully they can get it working soon.

Where did you source yours, direct from Leviton?

Yes, directly from Leviton. I looked all over for the thing, couldn't find it. It wasn't even in Leviton's own store. Finally I sent a message to Leviton customer service. An hour later, I received the response below, and my order shipped the following day. Simply amazing.

Good afternoon,

This has been added for you.

They're available from Amazon to pre-order (delivery Oct 21)

Thanks! I had seen that earlier. What weird is that I know I have looked for these on AMZN after that 27-Aug “First Available” date, and I swear they weren’t there. In any event, I need a color change kit, and there doesn’t appear to be any availability anywhere for those. I guess an email to Leviton CS is in order thanks to the suggestion above.

Just received one of these Leviton ZW15R outlets. HE C-7 recognized it as "RGBgenie Micro Switch ZW-4004". Seems to work OK. Is there a better driver to use?

That's strange, all mine recognized simply as "Device". You should use the Generic Z-Wave Smart Switch driver.

@mike.maxwell In the FWIW category, I've also run this with the Generic Z-Wave Outlet driver. Probably a better choice than the Switch driver.

A few notes since this appears to be the de facto Leviton ZW15R thread:

  • It appears that the fingerprint for this device will be in 2.2.4. Thanks, @dennypage!

  • Leviton now has the DSRKT color change kits for these in stock. I haven't been able to find them anywhere other than the Leviton store.

  • Amazon claims to have a long lead time on these, but I ordered one on 15 Oct that is now claimed to be delivered by 6 Nov. It hasn't shipped yet, though. The Leviton store has them in stock, but at a $10 premium over Amazon.

I installed 2 of these on my C7 this weekend, and both appear to be working fine, both having daily automations/rules run on them. Except for one little nit...

I can't get the driver to change the status light setting on the device. It's probably not a big surprise, given that it's using the Generic driver, and an even lesser concern given that's usually a set-it-and-forget-it thing that is very easy to do directly on the device, but can anyone else confirm or refute what I'm seeing?

I can check mine, but probably not until tomorrow. Are you using the generic switch or outlet driver?

Thanks! I'm using the generic outlet driver (which was automatically assigned via fingerprint.)

Unfortunately I’m in a public safety electrical shutdown area, so I won’t be able to test until at least the day after tomorrow. Sorry.

No worries! Sorry to hear you're having to endure that. Thanks for even thinking about this when you have plenty of more important things to worry about.

Ouch. I thought we were done with wildfire season?

Not in Southern California. They are in the midst of one of the most significant Santa Ana wind events of the season. Still super dry down there as well.

Yep. The super annoying thing is that we planned for this and ordered a generator—which was supposed to be installed six weeks ago. Waiting on parts. :weary:
