Let's talk thermostats and house comfort

It’s shocking there just isn’t something stable and good and full of features.

I want something that can hold scheduling on the thermostat and humidity control. Yet be a zwave device.

Well, you answered your own question... Manufacturers that make good local thermostats don't really care about having 3rd party zwave or zigbee connectivity. They typically want proprietary protocols and closed systems to keep you buying their product and services.

So not really shocking at all.

If there were a big enough market for the do-it-all home automation thermostat, it would already exist...

If anyone here has experience in writing device handlers, and wishes to try their hand at porting over an exiting driver from ST, I am willing to send them a T6 Pro (zwave) as a test.
I also have a T9 (wifi) in case anyone wants to try that.
Please PM with details.

Have you contacted @mike.maxwell?

I'm not taking user device submissions currently, too much of a backlog currently...
