Cold! Wow, I hadn't looked at any TPU printing guides...had no idea you'd have to go that low.

Some TPU even says no bed heating. I took the advice from a tuning guru after struggling to remove the parts from the bed.

Sequential putting turned out great and 2 of the 3 designs worked too. I’m just printing some tweaks to the 3rd plug.

I've heard tpu = No plate heat, higher retraction, & get your heat gun at the ready.

I was just getting to the final exam of PLA 101 ...60% bronze powder-filled pla. Heavy, no bridging, extra brittle.

For those with direct drive (Surprise! The Anker is a DD --who knew?) how often do you clean the extruder gear? Anker lists it as 'daily' maintenance --which seems like an overly-conservative PITA. Meanwhile, I've burned through 6 or 7 spools of pla before someone mentioned extruder maintenance.

Is anyone using Octoprint effectively?

The prints that I have used octoprint to start all failed, turned out fuzzy and didn't adhere to the bed. If I print directly from the sd card in the printer the same prints come out fine.

Ordered a Bambu Lab P1P the other day. Should be a fun toy.

Reviews are generally positive (except price). Not fully enclosed, so can't do too much with exotic materials - but I tend to stick to PLA variants and PETG anyway, so no biggie. The times I need ABS I can use one of my other printers, or rig up a front block for it.

I haven't cleaned the extruder gear, I'm three weeks into using mine and haven't seen any issues like clogging, etc. Cleaning daily does sound more like a CYA recommendation that the lawyers told them to put into the guide.

Eh, lots of pro/con with it.... Cons to me being price, proprietary parts and slicer, mainly.

I'm just having such issues with my Ender 3 S1 Pro (bed adhesion) that I'm just tired of messing with it. Will give away to the S1 Pro to someone locally, most likely. Tried a new PEI plate and glass plate this weekend, and same issues. Tried lowering z offset, raising, increasing bed temp, increasing bed temp, etc. No avail. And the same filaments work perfectly on my FLsun SR.

After about 20 prints failing at/near the end on the S1 Pro this weekend from the print popping off the bed I about threw it out the window, but resisted. So I'll fix it the way I know how - replacing it with something else. lol

If the bambu p1p is good enough I may give away my FLsun SR too, and go back down to just 1 printer... We'll see. My FLsun SR is pretty dialed in and trouble free at this point (even though it is a bowden tube setup). Improved cooling and a real volcano block/nozzle helped a lot at max speeds.

Have you tried pre-heating the built plate and letting the temperature stabilize before starting your print?

Also, I was having some problems. I took the plate to the kitchen and washed it with Dawn Ultra, rinsed it, and let it dry. That helped. I was using 92% Isopropyl alcohol, but found that washing the PEI plate worked better.

I have. The build plate was at temperature for about 6 hours straight while I was testing various settings.

I did wash my PEI plates with Dawn, and fully dried... Tried also wiping with alcohol, etc. It is baffling to me.

It isn't like it won't stick at all, just not well. Is typically fine for any "box like" prints with massive bed contact, but not anything else - and I'm not talking razor thin bed contract, I wasn't trying anything 'difficult'. I tried bed temps from 60C all the way up to 90C using PLA. Tried a bazillion offsets - everything from so low it was obviously impacting the extrusion to obviously too high. Bed is very well manually levelled as well.

Also calibrated the extruder, as "another thing to do". It was fine.

Dunno any more. Never had these kinds of issues with any of my previous printers (S1 Pro is my 5th one).

Wouldn't surprise me if it is "user error", but for the life of me I can't figure out what it is.
