Let's talk 3D printers!

Elegoo’s $199 Centauri

Just wow...

@ $200, I might buy it for the enclosure, hhh

Big question: Does the firmware support lan-only & orca?

The Magician X2 is US$169 on their site, not $99 (yet?)

That is crazy cheap!

The printer I'm most interested in is the Kobra S1 Combo, it brings some great features to the market (built in filament drier in the AMS etc) and has many improvements over the Bambu version.

Hard to avoid clicking buy on that too!

Pretty cool.

I doubt I'm buying another printer until my Bambu P1P dies, but I love that there are other good (maybe better) options out there now.

Fully enclosed, core-xy, 8 color printing for <$1000 (it is on sale for $160 off right now).... That's pretty sweet.

I feel like a fool now for buying my Sovol a year or whatever ago.

I will never buy anything again until they promise to stop inventing/making new stuff.

Lol, technology never stands still.

It will now, dammit, I'm going to stand squarely in front of it!!

That's me on the right.

I replaced the bearings on my SV06 with Misumi bearings (pretty much the best there is).

They are still annoyingly loud (although it may be due to using superlube grease on them).

If your SV06 Plus is making a whining sound, it's actually the plastic fascia panels on the front and back that are resonating. I removed my rear one.

Thanks for the heads up. If I hear that I will know what to look at.

Well this was a surprise, and not in a good way. I’m guessing most content creators aren’t aware of these affiliate program terms from all the big printer companies!

FYI in case it helps anyone

Create the ability to signal smart home when printing done

I took a door sensor and mounted a magnet on the cable of the printer (doesn't get hot), placed the sensor below the table and then added g codes to the end g-code block

G1 Y300 F500; move to Y=300 at speed F500 (where contact will be closed)
G4 30; wait for 30 sec

Then created a webcore (could be a rule machine) that triggered when contact closed and stayed closed for 28 sec. Then I sent a notification to phone and speak on several elexa's

If you run Klipper, there’s a Klipper integration in HPM.

I use it to notify me of printer errors, Filament runout, and jobs completed via RM.

YGK3D has a great analysis of the latest leaked Bambu H2D images up. I think his conclusions and concerns are quite logical based on the available images.

Basically, it appears to be a dual head, large format printer, with a Diode laser module, and possibly a vinyl drag cutter. :scream:

TBH, I don’t think this is aimed at most of us, it seems more aimed at the craft makers.

What is it called? I can't find anything with Klipper as a keyword and using 3d as a keyword, I come up with Bambu Labs Printers and Octoprint. Neither of these will work since I am running a Creality K1C, not a Bambu Labs printer. From what I understand, the K1C is not compatible with Octoprint either.

Unfortunately, Octoprint is not compatible with the Creality K1C, even though the K1C runs Klipper. OrcaSlicer does work with the K1C.

My bad, it's not in HPM - it's here:
