I have a relative that requires devices to be controlled by voice command due to severe disabilities. Are there any microphones that will work without wifi and directly with hubitat. We have alexas but have a very bad area for internet that makes alexa very unreliable . TIA
Check into Apple / Siri (Homepod Mini), a lot of the home automation voice commands are processed locally on the speaker, and are sent locally directly to HE.
You do need to have some sort of apple mobile device (iPhone or iPad) to setup and configure a Homepod though.
Just a thought, and probably overkill for your purpose, but could you use the microphones on webcams for input?
