Kwikset Z-Wave Lock - no events but entry in log?

I have a Z-Wave Kwikset lock that has worked flawlessly since I started with home automation (in Wink!). All of a sudden (past 2 days), it has stopped sending events to HE - I can see the entry in the log, but no event is sent and nothing is activated in my Node-RED automations. It is still reporting battery % and if the command is initiated from Node-RED (see "Garage Lock is locked" on 2025-11-02 at 9:19 PM)

Any thoughts on what is going on? And what I can do to fix it? Hub is C-8 and is on the latest firmware.

NOTE: All other z-wave devices and Node-RED automations seem to be working correctly.

UPDATE: Well - I changed the batteries and everything started working again . The original battery state appeared to be OK (the lock makes a different sound when it is unlocked with the keypad and batteries are low and the batteries were reporting 60%) so not sure what happened. In the past, I have replaced batteries when they have gone to 40%.

I uses Li rechargeables and I have found that I have to set my Device Activity Check to 70%. Once they get below that the lock becomes unreliable for reporting any state and definitely doesn't warn me of a dead battery or offline.
I have 3 locks and this works fine. I don't use regular AA so I'm not sure where the cut-off point is for those to report states/events.
