Konnected Piezo Buzzer: Conditional Sounds

Brand-new Hubitat / Konnected user here!!

I'd like to have the Konnected piezo buzzer produce different sounds for different situations. Within the device configuration for the buzzer I have configured the pulse/pause/repeat.

At present, my only solution is to create rules that run the "beep" action N times. Eg. Rule 1: Door open -> then beep, beep. Rule 2: Door closes -> then beep. This approach is messy because multiple beeps overlap each other, and do not produce consistent sounds. I have considered using a delay/repeat between beeps, but I cannot specify a delay less than 1 second.

Is there a means to add an action to a rule where the action command can set the pulse/pause/repeat parameters for the beep? I have experimented with running a "custom action" on the buzzer device by using the beep command. However, the only parameter types available on the pull-down menu are string/number/decimal. I do not know how these options relate to pulse/pause/repeat, or even if they relate.

Is there a means to clone a device, and then to configure the clone with different parameters? Since I am only looking for a handful of unique sounds, this approach would be useful, if feasible.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
