As TP-Link evolves, they have now merged Kasa device control into the Tapo phone app. As of this AM, the Kasa app still works for Kasa devices only.
This is not the death notice for Kasa devices in the US. They are still developing new devices as exampled by their MATTER capable devices currently on the market-place.
