I didn't realize it had leak, freeze, and overheat protection built in. I won't need that, but way cool.
I think the temperature offset will have to be adjusted to the actual reading because of the heat generated by the device.

Out of curiosity, why insulate the main water line? Does it get cold in your basement? I've only seen the foam insulation on hot pipes - the purpose of which is more obvious.
Anti sweat. Perhaps, if I actually dehumidified the basement, I wouldn't need it, lol.
