Just a thought about logs

I just had a thought.

Is there a way to clear the logs without rebooting?

I ask because it would be nice if they could be cleared for trouble shooting to find out if I had the problem fixed.

Thanks for your guidance .

Paul

Your logs should have timestamps. If you're not seeing them, i would try another browser and see if it might be a browser issue. They are really helpful in determining the last time an issue occurred.
Also enabling debug logging can provide additional logs so you can see any errors in the context of any potential error.
Even with debug logging enabled, Time stamps really provide the accuracy to know for sure.

I understand both of those, it is 1 or 2 giving a error, and some warnings. Even using the filter, there were just so many to try and sift through. One problem I have is when I reboot the hub and clear the logs, when it reboots I get an error on a motion sensor for my bedroom right away.

On my PowerHouse c-7 hub, the Zigbee breakers are giving errors and warnings. Here is one error.

errororg.codehaus.groovy.runtime.typehandling.GroovyCastException: Cannot cast object 'true' with class 'java.lang.Boolean' to class 'int' on line 1739 (method parse)

The warning page is long but here are a few lines

When I look at them, it is like reading a foreign language backwards. I do not know groovy yet.

I was going to ask @kkossev about it to figure out if it is something I am doing or something with the driver.

Thanks, I will keep trying.

Paul - there is a bug in the Tuya Zigbee Metering Plug driver, I will try to fix it as soon as I have the chance.

Update: please update the driver manually - ver. 2.0.3 2026-04-20

  • bug fix: breaker threshold boolean variables declared as int in processTuyaThresholdsCommands();
  • AC Frequency polling (0x0300) now auto-disabled after first unsupported-attribute response;

Let me know if the errors and the warnings are gone after updating the driver.

Hey there buddy, thanks. I don't know how to update the driver manually. Is it done in HPM or is there an import link?

Ok, done and it is rebooting.

Fantastic! Thank you so much. No more errors or warnings now. Where is your donation link? I owe you a beer.

Thank you kossev. I thought I was doing something wrong. Lol

It good to hear it was not me. Hehehe

Have a blessed day!

I would like to clear and retain my uptime.

Yes, that is another reason I asked about clearing the logs without rebooting. Oh well, we can wish.

Any specific reason why? - The HE is known to have small/slow memory leaks and the occasional (every few weeks) reboot, isn't a bad thing - In fact lots of folks have weekly/monthly scheduled reboots done automatically.

100% this.

True. Hard to find something that runs in a JVM that doesn’t have slow memory leaks.
