I've seen them in a few things. Aftermarket car alarm remotes, and some wireless doorbell buttons..

I think so. The only one I've run across was in the transmitter for Mail Chime. I replaced it with a rechargeable battery pack.

Thankfully, my Zooz motion sensor in the mailbox has just enough range. I think the better Z-wave antenna on the C-8 made the difference. Although, if there are leaves on the trees and it's just rained...
