It pays to remember your automations

I had some problems with my water shutoff valve. So months ago I set up a rule to cycle it once a week at 2 am on Monday morning. Been working so well, I totally forgot about it.

Last night at 2 am I got up to go to the bathroom. Flushed and no water. Tried the lavatory and no water. Panicked. Got dressed and headed for the garage to see what was going on. Stopped in kitchen and checked and had water. Now I was really concerned thinking a pipe broke between the 2. Went back to bathroom and water was on. Now I'm really puzzled . Then it hit me. You can guess what.

That had to be the first time I hit it just right on time...

I have the same setup but only for 5 seconds to power cycle my valves at 1:30AM. I avoid doing anything between 2AM to 4AM due to hub nightly backup. I could definitely see myself running around as well :joy:

That's awesome. I was just thinking today when I was looking at my automations "there's a place for notes in my rules. Maybe I should think about making some." You just reaffirmed that. It's amazing how much we take for granted when we don't have to think about it very often.

That sounds just like something I would do!
