Issues with backups

I had backups set up as a 2 week interval and now have turned it off. The unit is still doing backups but it keeps a significant number of files. I have daily backups all the way back to december 17th, 2022. I am having to manually go in and delete.
I read the backups stay 5 days and then get replaced for a new one but my unit does not seem to be doing that.
Any help would be appreciated.

My cloud backups are all gone as well.
