Issues using SharpTools/Hubitat

His anyone here’s using SharpTools for either automation or dashboard with Hubitat?

Everytime i try to trigger a automation created in SharpTools from hubitat and vice versa. The automation is not triggered and the device status is not updated in the other app. Also, if i lets say turn a smart switch manually, the device status is not updating in SharpTools and the automation won’t be triggered…

Has it happened to anyone else?

Im running a C7

I have been using SharpTools for about 4 years now - originally on SmartThings, then C7, and now on C8pro.

My main SharpTools usage is for dashboards, but I do have rules that fit into two buckets - sending SMS messages and controlling Sonos speakers. The former rarely runs (alarms only). The latter gets exercised perhaps once every few days.

The dashboards have always updated device states reliably and responsively. Nothing that I am observing that lines up with your situation. I realize that doesn't move you much closer to resolution.

The SharpTools Rule Engine now allows you to view recent logs. Open the Rule and click the 3 dots in the upper corner. Combined with the Hubitat logs, you should be able to create a full picture and hopefully figure out where the logical chain breaks.

Haven’t thought looking in the logs Will have a look into it!

I realized something though. The devices and rules that i am trouble are most of the time wifi devices or a rules wich have some in it. Might that be one reason why im having issues?

Possibly. I don't have many Wi-Fi devices but my Sonos speakers and ecoBee thermostat do seem less responsive than ZigBee or Z-Wave devices. It would still be good to observe the logs to confirm that the information is being sent and received as expected.

Well i just took a look at my logs and everything’s seems to be ok… I did noticed that in some days there was a error saying "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Text must not be null or empty on line 692 " any idea what that mean?

This is over my head. Since you mentioned that these are Wi-Fi devices, my best guess is that the API was expecting a value but did not receive one.

If you can share a specific device that is not behaving as expected with Hubitat and SharpTools, perhaps it will attract the attention of people smarter than me

Haha no worries. Thanks for the help!
I will test my stuff again tonight and i if anything ill try to have more specific infos
