I am using HB V1.8.4 HBHubitat Tonesto 7 V2.9.4 Homebridge V2 V2.9.2.
I use HB integration to control Magic Home light strips in Homekit. I had a planned power outage yesterday and since then the Homebridge integration will not work with the Magic Home light strips or even show them in the Home app. The light strips work as expected on the Hubitat devices page and in my dashboards so I know that Hubitat is working correctly. I have removed and then added the lights in the Homebridge V2 app but no joy. I have restarted the Homebridge and no joy. I can't seem to get the Hubitat homebridge integration to link to the HB Tonesto 7 app. I hope this makes sense. Its kinda hard to describe what is going on. All I want to do is control these lights in Homekit.
Did the IP of anything change? The HE Hub, the lights, or the Homebridge server?
Thats really the only thing that would make sense as to why it stopped working.
I run the same Homebridge setup (with different devices) and I can restart anything without it ever breaking, but I have my hub and HB server on fixed IPs.
No, The HE hub, HB and the lights are all using the correct ip addresses. I also use HB for my Unifi cameras and all the Unifi stuff is working as expected.
Is anything working between HE and Homebridge though? Is it all HE devices or only these specific lights? I assume the Unify is a separate HB plugin and not running through HE?
There should be some logs being generated on either the HE side or in Homebridge if there are any comms errors.
Everything in the Home app is working as far as I can tell without testing everything. This is what I am getting from the HBHU Tonesto7.
It acts like it is not connecting to Hubitat.
I was specifically asking if other Hubitat devics are working that you have shared through Homebridge. Don't care about any other devices.
Its not "acting" like it, it is not able to connect, thats why its not working.
The only other devices shared through Homebridge are the Unifi cameras and they work in the Home app. Another problem I have found is that Alexa cannot control any Hubitat devices through voice commands. I have some kind of network problem that I can't seem to find. Hubitat is on the same IP as always. It is set up as a Fixed IP on my UDM pro. I went to the Alexa app and disabled the Hubitat skill and tried to re-enable the app and it would not let me, said to try again. WTH. I don't know what is going on. I am going to reboot the hub and see if that helps.
Yup, it will (for Alexa at least for sure). Hub lost cloud connection. This has been an ongoing issue with 2.3.9 platform.
If you have Homebridge setup correctly it should be using a local IP to talk to HE though, not the cloud.
I just rebooted the hub and it looks like things are working as expected. I didn't think it would help, but the light strips are back in the Home app and working. I had just shut down the hub yesterday because of the power outage. I don't get it. At least things are working now. Thanks for your help.
