Issue with C7 Setup

Hello,

Hoping someone has some advice for me. Just received the c7 model and followed the instructions got it plugged in but green light never comes on, just stays blue going on about 2 hours now . As others have reported I can see the IP if I log into my router and look at the devices, using the IP I can have the portal discover it but when I click on the discovered hub it's unable to reach it as if something is blocking it. I assigned a static IP of 192.168.1.111. I can access the Diagnostic page using 192.168.1.111:8080.

I am using Asus RT-AC68U, tried completely disabling the firewall on the router. Rebooted, router and hub and still no luck. Tried searching this site for information and saw that others had similar issues but not sure if anyone has a fix or could it be a defective device.

Thanks!

It is possible they can give you instructions to get your C-7 functional. I suspect the issue is that the OS is loaded, but the Hubitat platform is not.

Thanks! I did contact them already earlier this morning but haven't received a response.

@bobbyD some additional information, from the diagnostic tool I can see that it's using the following version:
Platform Version:
hub-2.2.4.158
I don't have an option to update version only to rollback but when you click on that there isn't anything to chose from.

Glad to hear it worked. Something caught my attention, though. In your post above, you said you are using Asus router. Please note that there is a known incompatibility with some Asus and Netgear network devices that are unable to autonegotiate the Ethernet link. If your hub is sluggish, freezes or the web interface is painfully slow, please run the following procedure:

  1. Go to yourHubIP/hub/advanced/network/lanautonegconfigenable

*replace yourHubIP with actual IP address of your hub.

  1. Once the configuration change is applied, go to Settings and click "Shut Down Hub". When the LED light on your hub turns red, please unplug the hub for 30 seconds before plugging it back in.

Thanks! I was thinking that's what the issue was based on some other posts but so far seems to be responding fine, just trying to figure out my way around it. I'll save these steps in case I have issues down the road. Thanks again for all your help and quick response!

Attention BT Broadband users in the UK

We had a customer yesterday with an extremely slow yet brand new C-7 plugged into a brand new BT Smart Hub 2.

Applying the /hub/advanced/network/lanautonegconfigenable fix resolved the issue and the C-7 is now lighting fast.

This shows that it's not just ASUS and Netgear equipment as the BT Smart Hub models are made by Sagem and Huawei.
