Is there something special about this outlet?

New to HE and still learning. Home Depot is selling the f-out-us-2 for $99. I've not seen a switch that expensive but I have heard the ST Hub v2 is a better hub than the v3 and this is a v2 outlet.

Other than v2, what is so special about the f-out-us-2?

Could you maybe provide a link? I tried searching for that on Home Depot and found nothing useful.

These are the outlets - Amazon link.

AFAIK, there's nothing special about them. They do report power use.

According to camelcamelcamel, they are usually about $45 on Amazon. That $75-99 price is probably the out of stock or discontinued price that some retailers use to let them control inventory.

Seems massively over-priced IMO.

Why not just grab 5 of these for the same price as one Samsung outlet?

The Iris v2 3210-L outlets were made by Cetralite. They are Zigbee, and report power usage. They also have a bonus Z-Wave Plus repeater built into them.

This ebay seller has been selling the old Iris inventory most of this year. He is reliable and ships quickly. He also has Iris v2 Motion Sensors (10 for about $55) which is an amazing price.

These are some of the most reliable and fastest reporting sensors ever made. They mount easily with 3m command strips. Battery life is also very good.

Thanks I am also looking for motion sensors as well. I do have the older v2 ST sensor. It takes about 2 seconds to activate though. Is it because I have it connected to a ST hub or because it is older?

I have an SmartSense Motion Sensor (original model) which reports very quickly and is a repeater when powered via USB. I also have a few SmartSense Motion Sensor (2014 model) which are also very reliable and fast reporting. (Which SmartThings Motion Sensor model do I have? – SmartThings Support)

I have never used the model you have, so I can't comment on their performance when on Hubitat.
