Is there a way to use 2 or more instances of an app?

Specifically, power outage manager.

I have two (right now) different buildings and one hub. My power/water house is one structure, and my home as the second. I also have a shop/garage area and i would like to monitor the three buildings with my single hub.

I am not sure if this can be done or not, but it would be nice to be able to.

Depends on the app code. Since this must be a custom app (it's not built in), it would be possible to tell if you either looked at the code or shared a link to it so someome else could.

But: have you tried? The easiest way is just by doing that and seeing if it lets you or just takes you to your existing install.

Believe @pauljneil2 is referring to @thebearmay’s Power Outage Manager community app.

@pauljneil2 all you need to do is click Add User App again and choose this app to install another instance. Example:

Fortunately @thebearmay allows you to change the app name, setting at the bottom of the app details:

Name them appropriately so you know which app monitors each location.

YES! That is what i was needing. Thank you. I am new to hubitat, but I am slowly getting the hang of things. Thanks again, I will let you know how it works. It will be nice to get warnings for each scenario in eqch building. At least I will know where I need to go look for the problem.

Great news! Here is a PRO TIP, often when you have questions about custom users apps (not the built in ones), the best place is to post directly in the release topic of that app, the author monitors that topic and can reply faster and the people that are monitoring it are also users of the app in question and can often assist you faster.

Thanks for the tip. I will keep that in mind. Now to just work out the error codes in the logs. ....
