I have a fan + lights that takes three candelabra style (B10) bulbs. I've been using it Feit 60W yellow filament bulbs with my Inovelli LZW36 Fan + Light switch for years with no issues.
Due to the hemispherical canopy that is not very translucent it is rather dim in this room and I wanted to get a brighter bulbs.
So I got these: 100-Watt Equivalent B10 E12 Candelabra Dim White Filament Clear Glass Chandelier LED Light Bulb Daylight 5000K (3-Pack) from Home Depot.
I screwed one in to test it and it started to flicker. I then turned off the light. I found I could not turn on the light again. I removed the new bulb and then I could turn it back on several minutes later.
I'm assuming the delay was some kind of internal fuse invoking a cool down time.
A search suggested that the issue might be mixing the old ones with the new one, but I'm leery of putting in all 3 news ones in the fear that may cause some permanent damage to the switch and or the fan's electronics.
The search also suggest putting an upper limit on the brightness percentage, but that seems to defeat the whole purpose of getting these bulbs in the first place.
Can any tell me if it is safe to put in all 3 to test it?
If not, does anyone have any suggestions on what to use?
I'm afraid that since the fan is over 14 years old I've forgotten what brand it is.
""" Incompatible LED dimmers cause issues like flickering, buzzing, humming, reduced dimming range, or,pop-on/drop-out behavior. This occurs because older dimmers designed for higher-wattage incandescent bulbs cannot manage the low-power draw of LEDs. To fix this, use ELV (Electronic Low Voltage) or LED-rated dimmers. """
When I read "flicker" and LED bulbs, that's what pops into my mind first.
Not totally correlated, but it may be interesting to note that Zooz has Feit bulbs on the incompatible list. It's potentially the inrush. It's probably not going to hurt anything to try the full set of bulbs.
Ironically, I was just putting the 2700k version of these in my HD cart when I saw your post.
