Is it possible to globally replace one driver with another, over multiple devices?

I thought I did this once, but....

If its a custom/user driver then you could just overwrite the old code with your new code.
As for built in....... I'm can't remember seeing that option anywhere.

That's right.
Both are custom/user!
Thanks.

Each driver in HE is associated with a unique ID, which is different for each hub. If the driver was installed from HPM, manually replacing the code may create problems.

It will be safer to change the driver manually. If the old driver is not used anymore, you can delete it then.

Too late now, lol.
I don't use HPM though.

Are you talking about Swap Apps?

I think @velvetfoot was looking to bulk reassign the driver that was being used by multiple devices.

Yup...while Swap Apps is a bulk replace a device w/a different device across all apps/automations.

That, yet, does not do child devices.
Hint, hint.

And never will. Hint hint back at you.
