Iris v3 contact sensors

I bought Iris v3 contact sensors and after realized that HE doesn't support v3.. Any way to add driver for Iris v3 contact sensors?

When you say "don't work" do you mean that they are discovered as a "device"? If so, manually change the driver type to "generic zigbee contact sensor", then press configure in the driver settings page. Should fix you up!

Omg... You genius.... Thanks... I didn't think about it

If that does work (I think it should; pretty sure others have tried this already), feel free to provide the device fingerprint (from the "more..." section when pairing, which you'd unfortunately have to do again), and staff can probably add that to the official driver (so it gets discovered with this driver automatically) and the compatibility list.

More? What do you mean?

You'll see it when (and only when) pairing the device in the little box where you see the device having been discovered. Totally optional and not really your responsibility, but if you know the device works and are feeling extra nice, staff can use that information to add official/automatic support into the drivers.

I got you... Ok... I will... Thanks

Hey how was ur experience with the V3 sensors? I am planning to buy few of them but m unsure how the actually are? There are no reviews online

They work fine, I have about 20 of them that I replaced all of my V1's with. I do prefer the V2's better but they are usually a bit higher priced. V3's work fine.

What's the difference between the v2 & v3? I've been thinking of swapping some old zwave contact sensors out. I have a dozen v2 and they work great.

The V3's are a bit bulkier of a sensor, and can usually be found much cheaper on eBay.
