Just before current release the Iris V1 zigbee connect issue with the C8 was listed as a known issue, It was not listed in the release notes as fixed in the current issue, but it has been removed from known issues of the current release. I still cannot connect my Iris V1 devices to my C8, they will still, however, connect to my C7 with no issues.
More than likely not fixed, I've seen no discussion of it recently, so omission from known issues seems likely a typo.
