My guess is the smarthome device of the future, is your cellphone. It makes sense and the devices have plenty of power. Plus it will be so much easier for big brother to track and trace us. "You said you were home during the robbery, but all your lights were off, do you always walk around in the dark?"

That's the one nice thing about home kit, keeps everything local. You can even block all homekit stuff from going to the internet and it works fine. (well except cloud control) Overall I've been happy with both Hubitat's and Apples privacy policies.
