Tested to see how the app would react to being offline. I put my phone into airplane mode. App started to load but then got stuck on a fully white screen. Left it for a bit and it never did anything else. After going online again I had to force close the app and restart it, at which point it worked fine again. This was on build 241
@moncho1138 This is still an issue with build 252
This is still an issue apparently @moncho1138 @bobbyD
(Beta link, only works if you are in Beta) https://community.hubitat.com/t/2-4-0-145-c7-internet-outage-local-control-not-working/151070
I agree that this issue is still ongoing.
While it's rare for someone to experience an outage and attempt to control it via the app, if that situation does arise, this issue makes it impossible to do so through the app.
Yeah I tested it for specifically that reason, That would be my go-to if I needed to control something during an outage since Alexa would not work. I think someone else may have brought it up so I tested and made the post about it. They were too worried about fixing all the geofence and device issues at that time and it got overlooked.
We're working on how to improve offline network and the improvements will be on a future release.
