C8 Hub running 2.3.8 platform still.
I tested it multiple times with different devices.
Scanning the code then asks for a device name. I fill that in but then it uses the same name as the last device on the list. It does this every single time.

This is just adding it to the Start Smart list, I have not even tried including the device.

I also found the menu path confusing

You pick (+) add Device > Add Smart Start > SmartStart

After selecting Add Smart Start you get two options, one of which is "Learn Mode" which is manual inclusion, not smart start.

It really should go like this:

  • (+) Add Device
    • Add Other Devices
    • Add Smart Start Device
    • Start Z-Wave Learn Mode

Or if you really want to have the Z-Wave separate, rename the Add Smart Start Button to "Add Z-wave Devices"

  • (+) Add Device
    • Add Other Devices
    • Add Z-Wave Device
      • Smart Start
      • Learn Mode

Just tried using this new endpoint @bcopeland provided elsewhere and it is for sure saving it incorrectly.

The second one I just added and type in "zen55" for the name. The DSK is correct but its copying the name from the prior device for some reason.

If I tap on it to edit and then change the name there, it does save it.
