Sorry for the late response — I’ve been pretty busy the past few months.
That’s a great idea. Some of what you’re asking for is already partially handled by Hubitat’s built-in Notifications app. It can send alerts based on events like a doorbell press.
I’ve thought about combining everything into one app before, but it does add some complexity. VisualAlert is already fairly heavy on the hub when it’s triggering multiple devices at once, so I try to be careful about adding more processing load.
Keeping things separate — using VisualAlert for visual notifications and the built-in Notifications app for messages — gives users more control over what runs on their hub and helps keep things running smoothly.
That said, when I have more free time, I may revisit the idea of bringing more of this into one app.
