Integrations suddenly not working

This evening, my C-7 running 2.5.1.152, did not execute it's daily evening command that has faithfully executed for several years. I realized a few other misc automations failed during the course of the day. Thus I looked at the logs to troubleshoot.

I found the log FILLED with errors and warnings. I can only go back to about 2:45 this afternoon, as Hubitat apparently hit the limit of how many log messages it will store and is purging old ones as new errors and warnings hit the logs. Thus, I can't figure out what started this.

The only thing I could think of to do is to reboot the hub from the hub settings, which seems to have solved the issue, for now. However, I would love to know what started this so I can avoid it in the future. Does anyone have any ideas?

After every log entry for a device, the logs showed either a warning or error of "Excessive Hub Load"

  • One device to monitor humidity shows repeated instances of this:

Every outside connection Hubitat was trying to make was failed, as did completely local connections, such as below

The repeated “excessive hub load” messages point more toward a runaway device or driver than toward the integrations themselves, so I would start by checking which devices generate the most events and whether one humidity sensor is reporting far more often than it should. If you can, temporarily disable or pause the noisiest device and watch whether the load warnings and failed connections calm down after the next reboot. It would also help to note the exact driver and any recent device or firmware change, since that pattern often narrows the culprit much faster than rebooting alone.
