Installing smartlife app into hubitat

I just got my Hubitat C8 and I have a lot of WIFI plugs being used with other WIFI equipment. They are all installed on my smart life app and wounder if possible, to take the app and move it to Hubitat to run it through it, When I try to find devices on Hubitat it wont find them? Making it impossible to use for what I wanted. Thinking this Hub might be more then what I was wanting, but not being able to do what I wanted it to do.
Any help would be appreciated. Not a big tech person, understand the basics.

If you are new, I would recommend sticking to devices known to be compatible. In general, this includes most standard Zigbee, Z-Wave, and Matter devices, as well as some network-accessible devices where the manufacturer offers a documented, preferably local, API that makes it possible for other systems like Hubitat to integrate:

Unfortunately, Tuya does not, but they have a cloud API that is at least in beta. There is no built-in integration at this time, though new ones are always being looked at based on user feedback.

That being said, there are often "community" apps or drivers that support more devices (or sometimes even just more advanced features on devices that are already compatible). I found this one for Tuya with a search:

I'd suggest taking a look and seeing if it might work for your devices!

Welcome!

For plugs, all you really need is a Samsung account, and the SmartThings app on your phone to set things up.

I came here from SmartThings, when Samsung killed the Groovy cloud. In the SmartThings app, you can add SmartLife as a "Linked Service", and then it will pull in all your plugs and switches and make them SmartThings devices. I hated it at the time because it would not pull in dimmers or anything more complex, but it it was great for outlets and switches.

So, there is a Hubitat community app called HubiThings Replica:

After you install that app, you go into the settings for it to link it to your SmartThings account. Then you can authorize from the list of devices it pulls in from SmartThings, which ones you want to become Hubitat devices.

The result is a Hubitat device, linked through the cloud to SmartThings servers, linked through the cloud to Tuya Servers, linked through the cloud back to your local device and Hubitat hub. But it works.

That has to be the most convoluted path I have ever heard of to get plugs to work but you know you said the most absolutely important thing we ever need to hear.:rofl::rofl:

All jokes aside thank you for the explanation.
