I'm relatively new to HE and am in the process of moving from ST to HE over my vacation. All was going well until I got to my Schlage Connect Smart locks.
They've worked very well on ST but I cannot get them to connect to HE.
HE sees the lock then asks me for the locks code which I enter but it does nothing afterwards.
The only way I have been able to get my BE469ZP locks to pair is to bring the hub within a couple of feet of the lock. Also, make sure the lock is excluded first (Z-Wave device discovery, do the exclude steps on the lock after hub is in exclude mode), and that you have no “ghost nodes” with only “in, out” for clusters, from past unsuccessful pairing attempts (search the forum to see how to remove them). Shut hub down cleanly to red light from settings before you start pairing, turn power off to hub at mains connection (don’t pull the micro USB connector, its connection to PCB is fragile), leave off for 30 seconds, then power on. That’s the only way to reboot the Z-Wave radio in case it is confused.
Same here. The Aeotec Range Extender 7 devices are equally good. Advantage of using the Ring is that they have battery backup, will repeat to/from the locks during a power fail (you do have your hub on a UPS, right?).
The Ring will also report loss of power (switch to battery). A possible disadvantage is that I have found that it requires S2 security inclusion, only possible on C-7. For this reason, it is only on the list of Compatible Devices for C-7, not C-5 and earlier. Some in this forum have vehemently disputed this point, but it matches my experience.
Wish I could help, but my two BE469ZP locks are working perfectly on my C-7 with 2.2.4.158. I looked at your other thread, and you seem to be doing everything right.
Only oddity I notice is that one of the locks seems to be always changing routes with 2.2.4.158. Always 40kbps, no errors on any devices, works fine, but it just keeps searching for a better route, I guess.
