Installing iOS App

Does my iPhone have to be connected to the same LAN as my Hub in order to get the iOS App up and running? After entering my HE account login credentials from the App, the App insists on doing a "Local Hub Discovery." Since my HE Hub is not on the same LAN segment as my WiFi, the discovery process fails.
Is there a workaround for this?

Contact support, there is a bug with the current app for smaller (iPhone 5) devices. They can give you access to the beta app which will allow you to see all the buttons and not just the one. I had the same issue and the beta solved it for me.
