on C8 pro. I have an Inovelli red VZW31-SN. Its wired up with a neutral and looks fine on my zwave and set up as LR. Works fine on a couple tule machine where it sets to a certain dimming level when another button is pushed, physical switch works fine as well. Oddly cannot adjust the dimming level on the hub though. I cannot override the NaN. Set it temporarily as an on/off switch, then back to a dimmer but no luck.
Any thoughts? see an error on the logs, have no idea what that means though.
What hub platform version? Provide the specific version from Settings > Hub Details.
If you go to Settings > Z-Wave Details, so you have a button to switch to Z-Wave JS or legacy? (Don't do anything; this is just to tell where you are.)
Driver is the user version (from Inovelli site) - Inovelli dimmer 2-1 red series VZW31-SN
hub version- 2.4.3.149. i just updated about a week ago, based on events of the device, that seems to be when the dimming function via hub stopped working.
button in Zwave settings is to switch to Z-Wave JS
i just changed to the Inovelli Z-Wave Red Scene Dimmer driver, can dim from the hub but lose all the cool paramaters.
I would ask Inovelli about the problem with their driver, as it appears to be reporting "on" for the level instead of a Z-Wave value 1-99. That's causing "NaN" to appear in the UI (meaning "not a number"), and it should let you overwrite that, so I'd be curious if a different browser or device helps, but I don't have a bad driver/device handy now to test that recollection for sure...
When does the error in Logs happen? That looks like a malformed command in the driver, but knowing where it's coming from would give them (assuming it's a driver problem -- this is unlikely to be a platform issue) an idea of where it could be in their driver code.
If you aren't using the latest driver from their site, I'd probably try that before any of the above. I don't use their custom drivers (I wrote many of my own for the devices I use), but they seem to get updated quite frequently.
i played around a bit more this morning, I can override the level on Hubitat and set the value and switch adjusts accordingly, however the UI reverts back to NaN. Guess it doesn't really matter just kind of odd. I think this issue came up when I upgraded to newest driver version.
FWIW- i excluded the device and repaired, still same results.
