Greetings,
While leveraging the clone function, so that I could test the calibration of a sensor, I discovered that my Crawlspace Humidity Control function contained a reference to a Calibration environment sensor that no longer exists.
After carefully reviewing the source code to be sure I had not missed something I exported the the function and edited the resulting .json file. Now Iām not an expert in this area, but I first searched for mention of the calibration environment sensor and found it had been assigned an index of 41. So with care not to break the delimitation and nesting I removed anything that referred to this device by name or its index.
Next I renamed the original function, made a backup of the hub config, and attempted to import the edited version. What I found was that file selector would not allow me to select the file (grayed out). Just for kicks I once again exported the same function and then tried to import the unedited version (same result).
What I am hoping to accomplish by telling this story is two-fold. One, I would like to have an expert evaluation of my edit to be sure I have not corrupted the file, and two I would like to find out why I cannot seem to import anything (I canāt help but think itās something silly like a hidden .txt extension even though I instructed the text editor to save with the .json extension).
I am working with Rule-4.1 on latest iOS with Safari.
Thank you for your kind and thoughtful attention to this matter. Please find the two attached files (attaching as replies due to max character limit).
