Every thing here is out- electricity, internet, cable, non-passable roads. Bridge has fallen down. Flooding is still happening.
The good news is when electricity was restored Saturday afternoon, my C7 powered up and works 100% without a hitch. Fortunately, I do not use cloud services for any automations,
It is amazing how well that all runs. Since I used Ring Zwave sensors and Keypad and have the DIY @dJOS's battery backup I had my hub up for the outage we had on Friday for about 12 hours. Our alarm stayed active the entire time. Everything came back up once maines was restored.
Stay safe out there. My family member in Asheville is very concerned about saftey at the moment with all of the clean water and grocery concerns up there..
I think he is saying that everything is working 100% locally with the internet down and happy he is not using cloud services that would have broken his automations.
Stay safe, enjoy the local control with no internet needed.
I did have battery backup on the C7, but after 5 days even that quit so it was a dirty shutdown eventually. Internet is still down, but when that is back I will do a database repair.
The DB download/restore is all local, so you can do that now if you want to. I'd generally say that if local automations/control are all working and you're in the middle of an abnormal situation, that it might be best to leave things be.
Lucky u.. both our condos in treasure island...they are saying it may be months. Even though units are not damaged as garage is 1st floor every meter and transformer needs to be replaced!!!
