IKEA zigbee Plug

Hi, I wanted to know if Hubitat support the Ikea Zigbee plugs.

I have a number of them and they work well. I am thinking of moving from SmartThings to Hubitat but not sure if my z-wave and zigbee devices will work.

It's listed here.

They certainly are supported. And welcome to Hubitat!

... and they happen to be very reliable, and act nicely as Zigbee repeaters.

Cons? Their shape, their bulkiness, they do not have a manual on/off button, and they do not report power consumption.

Still a good choice. One more pro? Their price.

I have two of these, and whilst I agree they are very reliable Hubitat does not seem to be able to show accurately whether they are on or off for me. Whenever I command it to turn on/off it does every time, but hubitat always seems to show it in the previous state unless I manually press "refresh" on the device config page.

I am using the IKEA zigbee plug to see if power has been turned off for the outlet that the plug was plugged into. I do this in Smartthings and webcore by checking if the plug is in the 'OFFLINE' state.
Is this doable in Habitat as well?

I think you should be able to. In fact, you can just use webCoRE on Hubitat to do it the exact same way if you want.

AFAIK, Hubitat doesn't have an OFFLINE state, so even though @jlv is correct in webCoRE being functional under Hubitat, I don't think you can use the same automation.

Are you using this automation to discover whether there is an interruption to the electrical supply to a specific outlet, such as a breaker tripping or a switch being flipped, or a general electrical outage from the provider?

In either event, there are other ways in Hubitat to determine whether power is not available at a specific outlet.

If you are monitoring an outlet that is routinely turned off, this is going to cause problems with your zigbee mesh. Since the Ikea plugs are repeating for other devices, shutting off power to it is going to force the devices to find another route and some may just lose connection, drain batteries, etc. Use a non-routing plug in this case like the Sengled plug.

That is strange.

I have Samsung, Xiaomi, Osram and Ikea plugs and I do not have issues correctly reporting their status. I have to say that none ever report wrongly. No polling, updating or checking required.

They have different devices connected, specially lamps, and their status in my dashboards would cause confusion if their state was not correct.

All of my plugs are always powered (being on of off) (important considering that they provide a robust Zigbee network).

I suggest you check the reason for the incorrect status reporting, since it should not be that way, and mine do not behave that way. Ikea one’s included.
