Ikea Tradfri bulb range compatibility

Hi all,

I've got a bunch of IKEA Tradfri bulbs from their original range (E27, colour temp) which are running fine using the "advanced zigbee CT bulb" driver.
I wanted some more bulbs so I thought I'd have a look - wow they've massively widened their range, and dropped their prices:

So - are all of these natively compatible with HE?
I had some hassles pairing the previous ones, but got there in the end.
There seem to be comments out there about needing to connect them to an IKEA hub to update them - do they need updating? Seems dumb to buy a hub just to do an OTA update....
